How to use Invoice Generator

Add your business name, logo and contact details, then the client's details.
Enter the invoice number, issue date and due date.
Add line items with quantity and price, then set tax, discount and shipping.
Add payment instructions such as bank details, pick one of the layout styles and export the invoice.

Worked examples

Input: 2 items: design work 10 hours at 50, hosting 1 at 120, tax 10%

Result: Subtotal 620.00, tax 62.00, total 682.00.

Input: Same invoice with a 10% discount applied before tax

Background

An invoice is a request for payment that records what was sold, the amount, and when it is due. Many countries require specific fields such as a sequential invoice number, supplier tax ID and the tax amount shown separately.

Everything is generated in your browser, so client names, amounts and bank details are not uploaded anywhere. Check your local tax rules for mandatory fields, since this tool produces a document layout and does not provide tax advice.

Common mistakes

Reusing or skipping invoice numbers. Sequential numbering is required in many jurisdictions.
Leaving out the due date or payment terms, which delays payment.
Applying a discount after tax when your contract says before tax.

How do I switch between the 7 invoice layout styles?

You can switch layout templates at any time using the Layout dropdown directly above the invoice preview, or in Step 4 (Layout & Branding). Your invoice data is instantly adapted to the chosen layout.

Is my business or client data saved on your servers?

No. The invoice generator executes completely client-side in your web browser. None of your client data, business details, or logos are uploaded to any server.

How do I download the invoice as a PDF?

Click the 'Print / PDF' button at the top of the invoice preview. In the browser print dialog, select 'Save as PDF' as the destination.

Can I upload my company logo?

Yes! In Step 1 (Parties), click 'Upload Logo' and choose a PNG, JPG, or SVG file. Transparent PNGs look especially sharp across all 8 layouts.

Can I save a draft to edit later?

Yes! Click 'Save Draft (JSON)' at the top to download your invoice as a JSON file, which you can retain for your records.
