About Currency Converter

This studio currency converter fetches live foreign exchange rates across 160+ official ISO 4217 world currencies. It features instant multi-currency cross rates, conversion denomination reference tables, inverse exchange rates, and 1-click screenshot export for travel and financial planning.

How to use Currency Converter

  1. Enter the amount in the first field.
  2. Choose the source currency and the target currency.
  3. Read the converted amount, the exchange rate and the inverse rate.
  4. Use the reference table for common denominations while travelling.

Worked examples

Input: 250 USD to EUR at an illustrative rate of 0.92

Result: 230.00 EUR. The inverse rate is about 1.087 USD per EUR.

Input: Same rate, 1 EUR to USD

Result: About 1.087 USD, the inverse of 0.92.

Background

Exchange rates are fetched from public rate providers over the network when you open the tool, and then used locally for conversion. They are mid-market reference rates, not the rate your bank or card issuer will charge.

A bank or exchange service adds a margin or fee on top of the mid-market rate. For a large transfer, compare the rate offered with the reference rate here to see the real cost.

Common mistakes

  • Treating the displayed rate as the rate you will get. Banks and exchange kiosks add a spread.
  • Using a stale rate for a purchase far in the future. Rates change daily.
  • Confusing the base and quote currency. 1 USD = 0.92 EUR is not 1 EUR = 0.92 USD.
