About Image Watermark Studio

The watermark studio stamps text or a logo onto your image to mark ownership or confidentiality. You control the size, opacity, rotation and position, and can tile the mark across the whole picture.

Everything is drawn onto a canvas in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded. Common uses include protecting portfolio photos, marking draft documents as confidential, and adding a brand mark to product images before sharing.

How to use Image Watermark Studio

  1. Upload an image.
  2. Add a text or logo watermark and set its size, opacity and position.
  3. Use a tiled pattern for copyright or confidentiality marks across the whole image.
  4. Download the watermarked image.

Worked examples

Input: A portfolio photo with the text (c) Ada 2026 at 40% opacity

Result: Text visible in the corner without hiding the subject.

Input: A draft document image with CONFIDENTIAL tiled diagonally

Result: A repeated mark that is difficult to crop out.

Background

A watermark is overlaid on the image pixels. A single corner mark is easy to crop out, while a tiled or centered mark is harder to remove but more intrusive.

A watermark discourages casual copying and shows ownership, but it does not prevent theft or prove copyright by itself. Keep your original unmarked files, and note that processing happens in your browser, so images are not uploaded.

Common mistakes

  • Placing a small mark in a corner where it is easily cropped out.
  • Setting opacity so high that it ruins the image or so low that it is invisible.
  • Overwriting your only copy of the original image.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a watermark stop someone from copying my image?
No. It discourages casual reuse and shows ownership, but a determined person can crop or edit it out. A tiled or centered mark is harder to remove than a corner mark.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The watermark is applied in your browser using a canvas, and the image never leaves your device.
What opacity should I use?
Between 30% and 50% is a common balance: visible enough to read, but not so strong that it hides the subject.
