About SVG Viewer

Toolium's SVG Viewer is a studio-grade vector inspector and rasterizer built to make working with SVGs seamless and safe. SVGs are rendered through a sandboxed image data URI context rather than raw DOM execution, preventing any embedded malicious scripts from executing while providing instant pixel-perfect visual previews across dark, light, cyberpunk, blueprint, and transparency grid backdrops.

In addition to inspection and live code editing, the studio includes an integrated High-DPI Rasterizer capable of converting SVG graphics into PNG, JPEG, and WebP assets up to 8x resolution for crisp rendering on retina displays.

How to use SVG Viewer

  1. Paste SVG code or upload a file.
  2. Preview it on different backgrounds and zoom in.
  3. Inspect or edit the elements.
  4. Export as PNG, JPEG or WebP at the size you need.

Worked examples

Input: An icon SVG at 24 x 24

Result: Export as a 512 x 512 PNG with a crisp result, since vectors scale without losing sharpness.

Background

SVG is a vector format described in XML. Shapes are calculated at any size, so they never pixelate when scaled. Exporting to PNG, JPEG or WebP rasterizes the vector at one fixed size.

SVG can contain scripts. This viewer renders through a sandboxed image context so embedded scripts do not run. Do not paste untrusted SVG into other tools that insert it directly into a page.

Common mistakes

  • Exporting to a small size and later scaling up the raster.
  • Expecting JPEG to preserve transparency. Use PNG or WebP.
  • Opening untrusted SVG in tools that run scripts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe to preview untrusted SVG files here?
Yes — all SVGs are rendered through an isolated image data-URI pipeline rather than direct DOM insertion, preventing embedded JavaScript from running.
Can I export my SVG to PNG or JPEG at high resolution?
Yes! Use the Raster Export tab to export at 1x, 2x, 4x, or 8x resolution in PNG, JPEG, or WebP formats with transparent or solid background options.
Can I edit the SVG markup directly in the tool?
Yes, switch to the SVG Editor tab to modify the XML markup directly and watch the canvas update in real-time.
